Important messages
(Skip to downloads)- To install, just click on the "Install" link next to the release desired, and Mozilla handles the rest (or download the release, and then select "Open" from the file menu to open the XPI file). If nothing happens after a few seconds when you click install, make sure that the Advanced - Software Installation preference is set to "Enable software installation".
- If you would like to link to our latest release, the newest stable release can be found in the XPI-stable installer. This file has been placed in a new location since the release of 0.6, and we recommend using the new address to take advantage of Mozdev's mirrors for faster downloads.
- Many common problems are addressed on our help page, so check there before sending a message to the list. Please help test and contribute any ideas from this code, but if you encounter a bug, check- we may already know about it!

- Experimental Version
(currently 0.9.15.10)
The most current sample of our work (which at any given time may have some unresolved issues) is usually our "experimental" version, released whenever minor new changes have been made. If you find a bug in the Googlebar, check this version- the bug may already have been fixed. This does not reflect the most current code, and developers are still encouraged to use the code in CVS first, but this XPI installer offers a glimpse of recent work on the Googlebar. Users looking for stability and fewer bugs should use the most current stable version instead.

- Version 0.8 for Mozilla
(Released March 5, 2004, see Release Notes for details)
Googlebar 0.8 as usual contains a bunch of new features such as enhanced keyboard modifier preferences, support for international Google News searches and sorting of search results by date. A lot of old bugs have been fixed.
Note: If you upgrade from a previous Googlebar version, please check you prefs settings, especially your country preferences!
